Tweet URLs or IDs you submit for archiving.

Your IP address (normal web server operation), used only to derive a coarse country (not the address itself), which is shown publicly next to each archive entry.

Your browser's User-Agent string, used to guess whether an archive was triggered by a person or an automated tool, also shown publicly.

Your browser's Accept-Language header, to show a coarse language alongside an archive entry.

If you use the "Advanced" option to supply your own X API Bearer Token: the token itself, stored only as a cookie in your own browser. It is never sent to or stored on our servers or database; we only see a one-way hash of it, used solely to enforce a daily usage limit you can set yourself.

No accounts, no email addresses, no names, no payment information. Tweet Archive has never required an account and still doesn't.

Every tweet's archive history, including the coarse country and whether it was archived by a person on the web, an API caller, or our own scheduled backstop, is visible to every visitor of this site, indefinitely. Don't submit a tweet if you don't want that association (even coarse and anonymous) with your general location.

To do its job, this app sends data to: archive.org (the Wayback Machine), which receives the tweet's page URL to create a permanent public snapshot; X's syndication API, or X's official API if you supply your own token, to fetch tweet content; and our own self-hosted screenshot service, which renders and stores an image of the tweet.

Archived tweet content and archive history are kept indefinitely; that's the point of the tool. We don't store your raw IP address, only the coarse country derived from it at the time of the request.

Because there are no accounts, we have no way to identify or delete a specific past anonymous submission after the fact. For takedown-style requests, contact us at the address below; we'll do what we reasonably can, though note that a Wayback Machine snapshot, once created, is outside this app's control.
