The next time the page is viewed (or the daily background check runs), we detect it's gone, stop showing its content, and instead show a link to the latest Wayback Machine snapshot, if one was captured.
The free syndication API this site reads from truncates long tweets to a preview, the same limitation X's own oEmbed widget has. If you have your own X API Bearer Token, you can paste it under "Advanced" on the form above to get full-length text. It's only used for tweets that are actually truncated, so it costs you nothing on normal-length ones.
